Plans are well underway for Grenada’s hosting of the 7th UK Caribbean Forum from January 20th -22nd at the Grenadian by Rex Resorts.
The Trade and investment forum aimed at promoting opportunities for Caribbean and international investors aims to highlight Grenada and the Region is open for business.
The UK Delegation led by Foreign Secretary William Hague will also include the CEO of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the Chair of the Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) together with other senior officials.
The UK-Caribbean Forum is held every two years for the purpose of what has been described as “establishing priority areas for cooperation, discussing key areas of concern and proposing mechanisms to facilitate greater collaboration’’ between Britain and CARICOM nations.
Foreign Affairs Minister Hood will be joined by his foreign affairs counterparts from other Caribbean countries; CARICOM Secretary General, Irwin LaRoque; and a UK delegation headed by Foreign Secretary, Hon. William Hague.
Minister Hon. Karl Hood says the country’s profile would be vastly enhanced and local business people will get the opportunity to interact with their peers from the Region and the UK.
